Fitzwater
NORMAL, IL - Frances J. Fitzwater, 83, died Friday, December 27, 2013, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill.
Her memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with Gary Hinegardner officiating. Inurnment will follow at Friends Cemetery, Bentown, Ill. Visitation will be 9–11 a.m., Saturday, at the memorial home.
Memorials may be made to AMBUCS.
Mrs. Fitzwater was born Nov. 30, 1930, at Lincoln, Ill., a daughter of William and Frieda Fitchen Elsas. She married Harold Fitzwater, Jr., March 5, 1955, at Lincoln. He died Sept. 17, 2003.
Survivors included her children, Tom (Jill) Fitzwater and Gloria Oesch, both of Bloomington, Ronald (Laurie) Fitzwater, Vicky (Phillip) Reynolds and Les (Peggy) Fitzwater, all of Downs, Ill., and William (Janet) Fitzwater, Jacksonville, Fla.; ten grandchildren, three great- grandchildren; two brothers, Dean and Ronald (Sandy) Elsas, both of Morton, Ill., and a sister, Martha Niemeyer, Lincoln, Ill.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Mrs. Fitzwater worked for the Eureka-Williams Co., at Bloomington for many years prior to retirement.
Frances was a very loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed playing cards with family and visiting friends at Denny's. She will be missed by all who knew her.
