Ana Garza Obituary

Ana Maria De la Garza
08/13/1956 - 01/19/2025
In Loving Memory of Ana Maria De la Garza
It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Ana Maria De la Garza, who peacefully left us on January 19, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones in her final days, and though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace.
A devout Catholic, Ana Maria De la Garza lived her life with unwavering faith, love, and devotion. She was a steadfast presence in the church, a source of strength for all who knew her. Her compassion for others, her prayerful spirit, and her commitment to living out her faith were an inspiration to her family and friends.
As a mother, Ana Maria De la Garza poured all her love into raising her children. She was a guiding light in our lives, always offering wisdom, encouragement, and comfort. Her selflessness and nurturing spirit knew no bounds, and she made each of us feel deeply loved and cared for.
As a grandmother, Ana Maria De la Garza found immense joy in her grandchildren, always eager to share her time, love, and life lessons. Her warmth and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call her "Tita."
Though we will miss her dearly, we find comfort in knowing that she is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Leonardo De la Garza, and her father Rolando Perea, where there is no pain, only eternal peace. She now rests in the arms of the Lord she faithfully served throughout her life.
Her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will continue to guide and inspire us every day. She is survived by her children Liana (Andres)Chavarria, Abraham (Mariana) De la Garza, Leonardo (Amanda) De la Garza, Lucia (Hector) Gonzalez, and Adam (Carly) De la Garza, her grandchildren, Andres Jr, Abraham Jr., Oliver, Alejandro, Sophia, Lorenzo, Leonel, Emilia, and Delilah, her mother Josefina Perea, sisters Yolanda Jimenez, Gloria S. Munoz, Lulu Sanchez, along with countless family members and friends who were touched by her incredible heart.
A rosary and funeral mass will be held on February 7, 2025, at San Martin de Porres 1704 Sandman St. Laredo, TX 78041. The Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the Mass will begin at 11 a.m.
Followed by burial at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 3600 McPherson Ave, Laredo, TX
Rest in peace, dear Ana Maria De la Garza. You will forever be in our hearts.
