Brandon Tsusaki Obituary

Brandon Takeo Tsusaki passed away suddenly and unexpectly on July 11,2014 at the young age of 43. He was surrounded by his loving family at U.C Davis Medical Center.
He was born to Takeo Tsusaki and Nanci Omaye-Byrne on August 13,1970 at Lodi Memorial Hospital and lived his entire life in Lodi, CA. Brandon attended Lakewood Elementary School, Woodbridge Middle School and Lodi High School. After high school he graduated from Musicians Institute-Guitar Institute of Technology in Hollywood,CA.
As a child Brandon played sports and was in Cub Scouts. In his teenage years, he was an awesome skate boarder and was sponsored for competitions. He was very artistic and loved to draw. Brandon had a passion for music. He played the keyboard, electric and acoustic guitars, he wrote some original music and he was in a band "Deep Fried" that played at a variety of places. Brandon was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed fishing on his bass boat. He enjoyed learning about the different types of fish whether on television, books and magazines.
Brandon is a loving son his mom and dad will miss dearly. His dad will miss his fishing buddy and the many memories they had on the Delta, and eating out weekly at Sizzlers. Brandon loved spending time with his mom almost every night watching the programs they enjoyed together, cooking and just talking about life with her. Especially on Thursdays which his mom called "Brandon's Day".
Brandon was an awesome, compassionate brother that his siblings have many great memories together. Through the good times and bad, Brandon was always there for us. Brandon was an Uncle who always watched out for his nieces and nephews. He taught them to fish as young as 2 years old. Blessed with a large family, he saw the individuality in each and every one of them and the dynamics that made us a family. A Friend to many, Brandon was always there for them and loved spending time with his friends. He taught some of them how to fish and play the guitar. Brandon had fun but lived a life being simple and humble.
Brandon is survived by his parents Takeo Tsusaki and Nanci Omaye-Byrne, Michael Byrne( Nanci's husband). His brothers; Curtis(Jennifer) Tsusaki, Kent Tsusaki, Sean(Dennise) Omaye-Byrne and his sister Tami Tsusaki-Lira(Jerry). He is also survived by his nieces Nicole and Kaitlyn Lira, Destinee Tsusaki and Ava Omaye-Byrne. His nephews Tyler Tsusaki and Adam Tsusaki. He is survived by his Uncle Match (Joy) Tsusaki, Auntie Mary(Jerry) Tamura, Auntie Irene(Yosh) Onoyama, Auntie Jeanette (Kenji)Yoshimura, Auntie Sally (Daryl) Kuroko. He also leaves behind many cousins.

Tak, Nanci, Tami, and Curtis - I grew up with your family (Lakewood through Woodbridge middle school days) and I remember Brandon like a brother. He and I used to have "piano play offs", which he always won! I think of you guys often and have fond memories of the days of hanging out at your house as a kid. Nanci took us everywhere in that darned station wagon - to wrestling matches, girl scout meetings, McDonalds, Lodi Lake... everywhere! I'm so, so sorry for your loss and hope that your faith carries the family through the tough road of healing that you have ahead. My deepest sympathy and condolences -- Alisa
