Donald Bo

1939 - 2023

Donald Joseph Bo died at home in Granite Bay on January 18, 2023, following a long illness.  He was born on November 10, 1939, in Concord, California to Mary and Dominic Bo.  Don worked for 35 years with Federal Land Bank and Farm Credit in Lodi, California serving farmers in the northern San Joaquin Valley.  He was a deacon at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Lodi.  He enjoyed interacting with people, having lively conversations, and was not opposed to a spirited debate every now and then.  Following his retirement, he became a Real Estate Broker which he practiced until his death.
Don was predeceased by his first wife, Betty Orin Bo, daughter, Lucinda Bo, and stepson, Dr. Louis W Kraft.  He leaves his second wife, Rose Harter-Kraft Bo, daughter, Heather Bo, son, Paul E. Bo, brother, John Bo, stepson, Dr. Jack C Kraft, and step grandchildren, Braeden, Aubryn, and Ayla Kraft.
Don loved to travel both in North America and abroad.  He was especially drawn to Northern Italy where his ancestors resided and established contact with his Italian relatives.  On one trip to Sprone, a town in the Italian Alps where his mother's family immigrated from, he met with several relatives.  They took him to the home where his maternal grandfather grew up as well as to a beautiful building in town which had a plaque stating that his relative owned it in the 1400s. 
Don enjoyed spending time with family and friends especially when he could share his cooking skills such as home- made pasta, tomato mushroom risotto and grilling meat which had been treated with his own unique marinade of wine, spices and herbs.   He was also an avid forty-niner's fan.
Don was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, March 9, at 10 AM in St. Joachim Catholic Church located at 13382 East Lockeford Ranch Drive, Lockeford, California 95237. He will be buried at Lakeside Memorial Lawn in Folsom, California.
