Parminder Shergill Obituary

Parminder Singh Shergill, 43 of Lodi passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014. He was born in Jagatpur, Punjab, India May 17, 1970 and came to Lodi as a young boy with his family. Praminder graduated from Lodi High School in 1989 and joined the Army, assigned to the infantry division. After spending two years in Germany, Shergill served in Iraq during the Gulf War. He was proud to have served in the Army until 1995.
After he was honorably discharged in 1995, Parminder returned to Lodi and attended San Joaquin Delta College. After earning an associate degree, he attended University of the Pacific for two semesters, studying biochemistry.
He graduated from California State University, Sacramento in August of 2001 with a degree in biochemistry and electrical engineering.
Survivors include his mother Sukhwinder K. Shergill, brother, Sarabjit (Kuldip) Shergill and sister, Kulbinder (Nirmal) Sohota all of Lodi and three nephews Aman & Mani Sahota and Adam Shergill and one niece Amber Shergill.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, February 8, 2014 beginning at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Flowers at Cherokee Memorial Park. Military honors will be rendered at 1:00PM at the conclusion of services. Inurnment will be private at Cherokee Memorial Park.

No words can explain how we are feeling at this moment, and what Massi is feeling but we will always be there for her and the family. Remembering all the good times when you first visited us in the UK and when we all visited you at sabbi wedding and our Facebook conversation early mornings.
