David Solomon Obituary
Monsey - David Solomon of Monsey, NY passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020, at the age of 93. After several months of declining health, David died peacefully at home, with Judy, his beloved wife of nearly 70 years, and daughter Michelle, at his side.
David was born in The Bronx, NY on October 3, 1926, to Max Solomon and Fannie Elsky, who came to America in the early 1900's to escape religious persecution and seek a better life. The youngest of six children, David joined the Navy in 1944 at age 17 and served on the destroyer The Craven. After his discharge, David met Judy Kaplan, the love of his life. They married in 1950 and had four children. He bought a small window cleaning route in The Bronx, which he expanded into Rockland County, where he moved his family in 1968, and lived for over 40 years.
There are many words to describe David - warm, caring, upbeat, generous, hard-working, fun-loving, kind, and compassionate - but none better than his own mantra - Fantastic!
David is survived by his wife Judy; children Nancy, Robert, Gary, and Michelle; grandchildren Tara, Sadie, Lara, Hannah, Eli, Laila, Luke, and Max; and great-grandchildren Daphna, Netta, and Romeo.
Plans for a memorial service have been deferred until the pandemic crisis eases and gatherings are permitted and safe.

Miss my uncle davie growing up he was always around for me and more like a father. I used to go on trips with him and my cousins and made great memories there is and always will be a special place in my heart for him. Miss him and will never be forgotten
