ELINOR KLEIN

Elinor Klein of Lake Mohegan died on Sunday, March 4, 2001 at age 82. Born on November 25, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY, she married John Klein on April 5, 1941 in Brooklyn. He predeceased her on June 5, 1995. Several brothers and a sister also predeceased her. Mrs. Klein was a resident of Treetops Nursing Facility (formerly Marrs Nursing Home) for over 30 years. She was involved there in many activities, such as drama, art, and worship services. Mrs. Klein was a past president of the Resident's Council and was inducted into the Westchester County Senior Citizens Hall of Fame in 1998. Mrs. Klein is survived by her three children: her two sons, John, of Satsuma, FL and Thomas of Raleigh, NC, and her daughter, Christine Foss of Peekskill. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2001 at 7:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Peekskill. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the church would be appreciated.
