AGE: 82 • White Plains
Fayek A Fahmy, 82, of White Plains, NY passed away on November 23, 2014. He was born in Tanta, Egypt on March 3, 1932. Fayek married Mary on September 10, 1961 in Egypt. Together they emigrated to NY in 1969. Fayek then worked to obtain a NY version of his C.P.A. license and he became a trusted friend and advisor to many for over 50 years. Fayek was honored for his years of service & dedication to the Coptic Orthodox Church.
Survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary; his two children, Mona (Laurence) Beyer of Battle Creek, MI & Amani (Scott) Jensen of White Plains, NY; 2 brothers, Foad Fahmy & Said Hanna; a sister, Juliette Jacob & his 5 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kyle & Matthew Beyer and Thomas & Dana Jensen. He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Fauzia & Soad Hanna. Fayek will be remembered for his dedication & services to his church, and his unwavering faith in God.
Visitation will be Friday 6-8 P.M. at Virgin Mary & St. Demiana Coptic Orthodox Church, 665 North Broadway, White Plains, NY 10603. Funeral mass will be Saturday 8- 10 A.M. with funeral service 10 A.M. Interment to follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Linden, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Virgin Mary & St. Demiana church building fund in his name. Send to 665 North Broadway, White Plains, NY 10603.
