John O'Leary Obituary
New Rochelle - John O'Leary passed away on Wednesday, September 1st with his family by his side. He was born in New York City. A graduate of Iona Prep, he went on to graduate from Georgetown University and Georgetown School of Medicine. He was an Anesthesiologist, completing his residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and spent much of his career at St. Vincent's Hospital. A long-time resident of New Rochelle, he enjoyed sailing, gardening, opera, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Frances, daughters Shannon (Juan) and Tara (Ryan), and 6 grandchildren. Visitation Tuesday, September 7th from 5-8 PM at John J. Fox Funeral Home in Larchmont. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, September 8th at 10 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church, New Rochelle.

I have lost a great teacher who also became a dear friend. For many years after I finished my residency I
I would always seek his advice.
In Venezuela where I practiced for 40 years many of those who I taught knew "O´Leary" because I would constantly transmit his teachings.
I will greatly miss him. To his beloved Frances, my dear Mrs. O´Leary, and his beautiful family our prayers and our deepest sympathy.
