Jon Eshbach Obituary

Jon E. Eshbach

Nyack - Jon E. Eshbach passed unexpectedly January 12, 2018. He was 58.

Jon is survived by his two cherished sons, Jonathan and Ryan, and their mother, Melinda. He was predeceased by his parents, John R. Eshbach and Margaret Rondinaro Eshbach, as well as is sister, Lana.

Jon spent over 30 years serving the residents of Rockland County. He started his EMS journey as a member and Line Officer of the South Orangetown Ambulance Corps. He was also past Captain and Life Member of the Nyack Community Volunteer Ambulance Corps, as well as past member of the Stony Point Volunteer Ambulance Corps. As his love and passion for EMS grew, he expanded his career with Hudson Valley Ambulance Service where he was promoted to a Supervisor position. From there, until the time of his passing, he was employed by Rockland Mobile Care, having served as a Captain. Jon took great pride in the uniform and his service to others. He thoroughly enjoyed mentoring countless EMS providers.

Jon also had a love and passion for baseball. He spent countless hours with the Haverstraw Little League watching and coaching his sons. He was an avid NY Mets fan, but, he was also his sons #1 fan.

Jon will be remembered for his dedicated and compassionate EMS service, but, most of all, he will be remembered for his dedication, pride and love for his sons.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, January 17th from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 Central Highway, Garnerville.

Service will be held, Thursday, January 18th at 11am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Mt. Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw.

In lieu of flowers, his sons request donations can be made in memory of Jon to the Wounded Warrior Project, Haverstraw Little League or the Rockland Paramedic/Rockland Mobile Care benevolent fund.
