JOSEPHINE MAZZA Obituary

Josephine M. Mazza, age 77, of Danbury, CT, formerly of Ossining, died on Tuesday, February 5 at the Danbury Hospital. Mrs. Mazza was born February 28, 1924 in Pelham, NY, a daughter of the late Michael and Loretta (DeFeo) Pisacreta. She was educated in Mount Vernon, NY public schools, and was a longtime resident of Ossining, NY, where she was a member of the Golden Agers Senior Citizens Club. Mrs. Mazza had relocated to Danbury eight years ago, and most recently had resided at Laurelridge, of Ridgefield. While residing in Danbury, she was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. Mrs. Mazza is survived by her daughter, Laura Marchisio of Danbury, CT, her son Albert J. Mazza of Croton, NY, her brother Michael Pisacreta, of Mt. Vernon, NY, four granddaughters, Dianna and Michelle Marchisio, Claudine Chamorro, and Alexandra Mazza, several nieces and nephews, and her former husband, Albert Mazza of Rhode Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 9 at Holy Name of Mary Church, Croton, NY, at 10 am. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. The family will receive friends at the Hull Funeral Home, 60 Division Street, Danbury, CT, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
