Alice Testa Obituary
March 08, 1919 - July 24, 2021
Alice Yvonne Deslauriers Testa of Lompoc, California died Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the age of 102 surrounded by her loving family. Alice was born on March 8, 1919, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to Nazaire and Victoria Deslauriers. She was the youngest of six children.
Alice lived a long and joyful life. She enjoyed traveling (especially cruises), camping, road trips, and loved to go fishing. Alice always kept her fingers busy with knitting, crocheting, enjoyed cooking, and LOVED to play BINGO. When asked the secret to her long life, Alice replied, I didnt wear my heart out exercising. I had a cocktail every night and enjoyed life.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Louis J. Testa, her partner of 10 years Donald Steinbach, her parents Nazaire and Victoria, all five of her siblings, her sons Louis V. Testa and Ronald Testa, and grandchildren Kenneth N. Testa, Jr. and CJ Testa.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Testa of Las Vegas, Nevada, Michael and Mary Ella Testa of Sugar Land, Texas, and Rhae Testa of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Other survivors include 7 grandchildren, Lou Testa, Lisa Marceau, Dom Testa, Jody Case, Lee Testa, Craig Testa, Julia Spore, 16 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alice's family would like to give the greatest appreciation to Janet Pederson-Didrickson and the staff at Lompoc Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation for the excellent care they provided Alice in the final years of her life.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday July 28, 2021, at Starbuck-Lind Chapel. Alice's service is available for viewing at www.starbucklind.com In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Alices favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org. She was a faithful monthly donor until her death. Alice said she liked St. Judes because of the care they give to children at no cost to their families.

My Grandma was a very special lady who lived a long and good life. She knew how to find the joy in life. Even in her last years she was a joy to know and to be around. I really admire the way that she found happiness in the little things and brought happiness to those around her. Even at 100+years old she was still playing bingo and laughing at jokes. She was an amazing woman and she will be dearly missed. Love you grandma.
