Ann Shomaker Obituary
Ann was a long-standing member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church. She was a secretary for Loudoun County Farm Bureau for 25 years. She loved living on the farm, enjoyed gardening (especially pansies), and loved decorating for all the holidays. She enjoyed the beach, spending two weeks each summer in Duck, NC. Ann was an avid sports fan; cheering on the Commanders, Nationals and the Hokies affectionately known as the "Hoagies". She will be remembered for her famous holiday spreads prepared for family.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband R. Francis Shomaker. Ann is survived by her children, JoAnn Fawley (David) of Louisa, BonnieSue Dunkley (Wayne) of Brunswick, MD; grandchildren, Sara Diep (Tung), Lori Hernandez (Pedro), Frances, Tucker, and Virginia Dunkley, and great-grandchildren, Payton, Reagan, Nathan, and Trevor.
The family would like to thank The Legacy at North Augusta and Louisa Health & Rehab for providing such loving care.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at New Jerusalem Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior. Burial will follow the service at Lovettsville Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 12942 Lutheran Church Road, Lovettsville, VA 20180 in Ann's memory. Ann Sutphin Shomaker
