Barbara Connolly Obituary
Barbara loved to serve others and did so for many years through her work in the hospitality industry as a waitress and bartender. You could always find her with a tray in her hand and a smile on her face at places like The Bandbox, The Townhouse, The Red Mill and the Holiday Inn. Her congenial personality and friendly face afforded her the opportunity to purchase the home that she resided in for 61 years; the home she raised her daughter in and was so proud of.
She was a longtime past member of the St. Andrews Women's Bowling League. She also enjoyed gardening and bingo but her favorite pass time was basking in the sun. If you drove by her home on a sunny day, you were sure to find her sitting out on the front porch "catching some rays" year round.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Noreen (Connolly) Conway and her husband John (Jack) of Billerica, her Granddaughter Kelly (Conway) McCluskey of Billerica, her Grandson Sean Conway and his wife Carrie of Chelmsford as well as her six great-grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Molly and Jack McCluskey and Arya and Kit Conway. She is also survived by her sister Judith Sheehan and her husband Tom of AZ, her brother Dennis Oskowski and wife Sue of Maine, her brother in-law Willard (Bill) Beckwith and her godson Edward H. Fillmore as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along her with parents, she was predeceased by her twin sister Lois M. Fillmore, Charlotte Gearin, Robert Oskowski, Theodore Oskowski, Joan (Winky) Beckwith.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jessica Wieselquist who provided her outstanding care over the last several years and the comfort and dignity that was afforded to her in the last day of her life. As Barbara said, "good things come in small packages".
Family and friends are invited to Barbara's Funeral Mass on SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2022 at 11 AM at ST. ANDREW'S CHURCH, 45 Talbot Ave. N. Billerica. Barbara's family will greet people at the entrance of the Church, prior to the Mass, beginning at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that the next time you are out, be generous to your server in memory of Barbara.

Noreen and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know my mom was an only child and she and her mom had an inseparable bond. Your mom sounds like an amazing woman, and will be very missed by so many who love her. Our loved ones never really leave us, but stay in our hearts. Every day you will be going about the day and something will bring her to mind. That is her on the other side reminding you she's still with you. watching out for you. You were a wonderful daughter!
