Doris Rondeau Obituary

Doris M. Rondeau
Most Loving Wife, Mother,
Grandmother and Sister

LOWELL -- Doris M. Rondeau, beloved wife of Roland O. Rondeau of 59 years would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 11th, 2013 was called peacefully to the arms of God on January 18, 2013 surrounded by her loved ones at Lowell General Hospital following a massive heart attack. She was a vibrant and much loved woman who had a beautiful soul. She was born April 5, 1934; daughter of Emile Fisette (deceased) and Bernadette Proteau Fisette (deceased).

She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Andover, MA after working there for 17 1/2 years as a lead in code and edit. She worked until she was 75 years old, she was a very dedicated employee and had so many friends that she looked forward to seeing everyday. But to Doris her most important job was being the best wife, mother and grandmother. She held high expectations for her family unconditionally loving them with all her heart and always putting their happiness and well being ahead of her own. Her daughter Diane was her caregiver that was with her constantly, they had a very "special bond" together and when Doris would talk about Diane she'd always say to her friends at the I.R.S. "my Diane". She also had a "special bond" with her daughter Nancy and the two would go shopping together, share many laughs, and return home to tell their stories over a cup of tea. She missed her dearly when Nancy moved to South Carolina. She was a member of the Poor Clare Guild, St. Jude, St. Anthony Guild, Society of the Little Flower, Sacred Heart League, Friends of the Lowell Council on Aging, enjoyed traveling, member of the Humane Society of the United States.

Survivors besides her husband are her two daughters and sons-in-laws Nancy J.M. Broadwell and her husband Michael (deceased) of Moncks Corner, S.C., Diane Y. Grandmaison and her husband Michael of Dracut, MA, one sister and her lifelong companion Claire Provencher and Patricia Farrington, two brothers and one sister-in-law Roland Fisette (deceased), Roger Fisette and his wife Dolly. One granddaughter Amy Broadwell Curl and her husband Joseph, two great- granddaughters Kimberly M. Broadwell and Roewan M. Curl. She leaves aunts, cousins, and many nieces and nephews and friends.

She also leaves behind her favorite little dog Mr. Bubbles that she loved dearly.

The family would like to thank all doctors, nurses, paramedics, rescue and officers for everything they did to try and save her life. We all know you did your very best.

RONDEAU -- In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris' name to the Poor Clare Guild at 445 River Road, Andover, MA 01810. A private service will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Arrangements entrusted to the care DRACUT FUNERAL HOME. Dear Mom,
I miss you so much, it doesn't get easier like people say it will. It's almost 3yrs and it feels like I loss my beautiful mother "you" just today. The day God took you home He should have taken me with you. We had so much fun together everyday. Why did God take that away? I know you can feel my love for you because we always had a "special bond" and that can never be broken, not even through death. I love and miss you wth all my heart. Wish I could be spending Christmas with you....

All My Love Always,
Your Daughter, Diane
