Joseph Kelnhofer Obituary

Joseph T. Kelnhofer of Bedford, 20-year Air Force vet; 68 BEDFORD Joseph T. Kelnhofer, 68, of Bedford, died at his home surrounded by his loving family on November 11, 2008. Mr. Kelnhofer was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on April 1,1940, and he was a graduate of Marquette University where he earned his B.S. in Mathematics. He also earned a M.S. in Information Science from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and served in the United States Air Force for 20 years retiring as a Lt. Colonel in 1982. Over the following 20 years, he worked various civilian jobs as a software engineer. Active in the Bedford community, he was a Scoutmaster, soccer coach and referee. He taught CCD at the Church of St. Michael in Bedford where he also served as a lector. His hobbies included Tai Chi, gardening, working in his greenhouse, astronomy, and gourmet cooking. He is survived by his wife, Agnes (Talacko); four children, Joseph R. of Bedford, Robert J. and his wife, Elinor of Aurora, IN, Cecilia M. Feeley and her husband, Michael S. of Wayne, NJ, and Philip J. and his wife, Melissa Alexander of Clinton; brothers, Thomas P. and Mark S.; and sister Karen A. Heim, all of Wisconsin; and five grandchildren, Laurel, Jeremy and Elizabeth Kelnhofer, and Alexander and Rebecca Feeley. KELNHOFER Lt. Col. Joseph T. (Ret.), of Bedford, Nov. 11. Husband of Agnes (Talacko) Kelnhofer. Funeral from the Bedford Funeral Home, 167 Great Rd., Bedford, Sat. at 8:00 A.M. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Michael Church, 90 Concord Rd., Bedford, at 9:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Fri. from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
