Sean Marcaurelle Obituary

Sean M Marcaurelle
of Nantucket, formerly of Chelmsford; 37
NANTUCKET Sean M Marcaurelle, 37, lost his courageous year long battle with cancer Sunday, October 4th.
Sean was born on July 2, 1972. He was raised and educated in Chelmsford. Sean spent his summers at his beloved grandparents house in Dennis, MA which lead to his love of everything Cape Cod. Upon graduating high school in 1990, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served his country for 8 years. While a Marine, he earned his Bachelors Degree from UMASS Amherst graduation in 1996.
After several years in the financial business world, Sean left the city of Boston and moved to Nantucket. It was there that he found peace and happiness. He worked several years as a carpenter eventually becoming a licenced contractor and started his own company.
Sean had an amazing smile and love of life that even cancer could not diminish. He was always the one telling the story, and everyone listened and laughed. Sean loved to debate politics and tell you how to manage your finances. He was forever the anchor of his family and friends.
Sean is predeceased by his adoring materal grandmother, Sylvia Grugan; great-grandmother Gertrude Counter, paternal grandparents Roland and Jeannette Marcaurelle, and aunt Joan Rose.
Sean is survived by his loving companion and soul mate Rhonda Allen of Nantucket, mother Deborah Eguia of Nashua, father Stephen T Marcaurelle of Dracut, grandfather Rennie Grugan of Chelmsford, step-father David Eguia of Hampton. Rhonda and Sean's Family,
Sean was known fondly as my favorite little character for his outgoing nature, limitless stories and that adorable mischievous smile. I am honored to have worked with him in Boston and to this day I still quote "Sean-isms" almost daily. Sean was a fighter and if anyone could have won the battle, it would have been him. I'm thankful I was able to hug him when he was feeling well and full of smiles. My thoughts are with all of you and I'm so very sorry for your loss ... everyone who ever crossed his path wanted to quickly become his friend. I miss him so much and I look forward to meeting up with him again someday. Thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

I will think of you always and often, and will remember the good times and laughs. Say hello to my Dad for me, I told him to have a Miller Lite waiting for you. I love you. Healy

THE BROKEN CHAIN
We knew little that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we all loved you dearly and in death we all do the same. It broke our hearts to loose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories your love is still our guide and though we can not see you you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again. Loved and missed by everyone

To Rhonda and Sean's Family-

You are in our thoughts and prayer's. I was so happy to see Sean on September 12 for his party. It was great to see him after so many years. We enjoyed a few laughs, talking about the good old days in Chelmsford, playing hockey and just fun times. It was great to have the old Westland kids all together to share memories with Sean that I will never forget.

Deb, Tamara & David;

It's been many years since we all saw each other last. I'll always remember those times as kids when we'd get together and run around the house creating havoc and having a great time. Sean was always at the center of it and we all gravitated to his fun and warm personality. They are fond and special memories. Even with so many years and miles between us I'm so saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To Rhonda, and Sean's family - my heart and thoughts and prayers are with you all. I've been friends with Sean since UMass - he lived next door to me in the dorms. He was a great guy, the life of the party, and the person everyone always wanted to be around. Anyone who was ever lucky enough to meet him has a great story to go with their experience of hanging out with Sean. He brought so many smiles and so much laughter to all of us - we are going to miss him always. Rest in peace, my friend.

Deb, Tamara, David & Steven,
I can't begin to tell you how sorry I am to hear that Sean lost his battle with cancer. While it has been many years since I have seen him, I still always think of both Tamara & Sean as "mine" in some small way. He was, indeed, always a "big" personality and I'm sure that only became more evident as he grew into manhood.
I hope that you all remain strong for each other and know that there are so many thoughts and prayers that are with you now.
