Ann Robinson Obituary

Mrs. Ann Marie (Brummett) Robinson, 55, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024, after a challenging three-year battle with metastatic adenocarcinoma.

Ann was born April 2, 1969, in Michigan City, Indiana, the daughter of Cisco and Brenda G. (Vincent) Brummett.

On Oct. 31, 2007, in a tiny mountain chapel, she finally married her childhood sweetheart and soulmate, Jeff Robinson, who was the love of her life.

She loved Jeff so much that she married him twice, renewing their vows on Oct. 31, 2017, in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. Jeff, who was also her caregiver, survives.

Also surviving are Ann's beloved sons, Erich Alt and Ethan (Kalyani Hawaldar) Alt; father, Cisco Brummett; sister, Jennifer Gouge; niece, Paige Haddon; nephew, Parker Gouge; daughters, Kyrie Robinson, Kayla Robinson, and Carmen Robinson; 17 grandchildren, Alaina, Ava, Alaric, Adeline, Abigale, Tanner, Emma, Maggie, Sophia, Gwen, Myra, Matthew, Ella, Hayle, Serrina, Kira, Anthony and one great-grandson, Oliver.

Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Brenda Brummett; brother, Brian Brummett; father-in-law, James Robinson; mother-in-law, Bonnie Robinson; stepdaughter, Christina Woods and her sweet African Grey, Max.

Ann's passion for helping others led to her career in the Social Services field for over 30 years, working with children with autism and adults with developmental disabilities. She was blessed to have worked at The Zeilbeck Group for the last nine years.

Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, visiting the ocean and mountains, traveling, Mexico, music, concerts, collecting vintage items and textiles, camping, vintage camper rallies and raising her dearly loved parrots, Max, Lucy and Lola Grace.

Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, IN where the family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m., with Pastor Dennis Pickens, officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be directed to the family c/o Jeffrey Robinson.

Ann was such a a loving, fun and generous person. We worked together at a music store years ago, and many years later I was her mail carrier for a short time. I'm so glad that we reconnected through Facebook. I'm so happy to have known her, and I pray that her courageous and loving spirit will continue to be a comfort for her family in the coming years. My thoughts are with you all during this sad time of loss.
