Gary C. Sindelar Sr. of Long Beach, Indiana, formerly of St. Charles, Illinois, passed away on March 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 79.
Born on May 13, 1945, in Oak Park, Illinois, to Jacob and Florence (Johnson) Sindelar, he was a man who lived a life marked by thoughtfulness and a profound dedication to his family.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Carol (Kasik) Sindelar; and their sons, Gary (Megan) Sindelar, Grant (Marissa) Sindelar and Gordon (Cari) Sindelar. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Hannah, Margaret, William, Harrison, Mitchell, Caroline, Grace and Henry, all of whom carry on the Sindelar name. Gary is also survived by his brother, James Sindelar; sister-in-law, Janis (Eldrich) Carr; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Claire Sindelar.
Gary's life was a testament to the love he had for his family, and he will be remembered as a loving, generous and thoughtful man, who took great pride in his family's accomplishments. His memory will be treasured and kept alive in the hearts of those who knew him. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Gary was such a family man. It is all due to him that Long Beach Country Club developed their Annual Tree Lighting program into a rousing family sing along. What a dear man,
I witnessed true love in his eyes and smile with his wife and children around him.
