Henry J. Phillips, 67, of Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at 8:57 a.m. in Franciscan Health Michigan City surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana, with Brother Shaun Gray officiating. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel. The family requests that masks be worn during the visitation and services.
He was born July 21, 1954, in LaPorte, Indiana, to John and Louise (Babovac) Phillips. On Sept. 27, 1982, he married Judy Kaszynski, who survives in Michigan City, Indiana.
Also surviving are a daughter, Stephanie (Brian) Archambault of Richland, Washington; son, Michael Phillips of San Diego, California; his mother, Louise Phillips of Michigan City, Indiana; two grandchildren, Jack Archambault and Eveline Archambault; and his sister, Nancy (Pete) Lalic of Mill Creek, Washington.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Phillips.
Henry retired as an assembler at Sullivan Palatek and also worked at Sullair Corp. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and the INR SCCA. Henry enjoyed autocross racing, motorcycles and his cars. He loved his family.
