With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we mourn the loss of Robert G. Bellamy, 73, Michiana Shores, Indiana. Bob passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024 at the VNA Hospice NWI in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was born July 21, 1951, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Clarence V. and Betty J. Bellamy.
Bob was a very devoted father to his late son Kenneth R. Bellamy. He is survived by his beloved wife Kathryn Bellamy (nee Ott), adored granddaughter Brielle Bellamy, loving sister Deborah (Randall) Novak, brother Michael (Pamela) Bellamy, nephews, nieces, and his dear cousin Karen (Anderson) Coutts.
A private burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana.
Bob fought a courageous battle with cancer, and gave it all he had. He will be dearly missed by many. Bob worked hard to build his successful career in the rental property industry. His commitment to fair housing, and providing affordable well-maintained homes created a positive living experience for those who lived in his properties.
Bob had a lifelong passion for cars, with a special love of his Ferrari and Jaguar(s). His enthusiasm for automobiles extended beyond admiration, as he began racing quarter midgets at a young age. This passion sparked a deep connection to the world of auto racing, which he fondly shared with his son.

I met Bob thru work a lifetime ago. He helped me learn the job and also helped me establish credit when I was too young to understand the importance. That was 45 yrs ago. In June, Bob waited in my employee parking lot to congratulate me on my retirement. He mentioned, in passing, that he was dealing with something but he was only interested in asking about my life. The world is down one more real good man. My sincere condolences to Kathy and family.

The first I met you, you were handing me keys to a new apartment a struggle mom who just move to Michigan City just got a job. You waited till I got paid to get rent. Over a spam of 25years I rented from you on and off. The last time I saw you I was moving out one of your properties Aug 2024. Always laughing always joking. I called you the other day to see how you was doing, I got the voicemail. You will truly be missed Bob
