Thomas "Hap" Henry Greening, 78, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Miller's Health and Rehab, La Porte
Hap was born on March 28, 1947, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to Ord and Kathleen (Moore) Greening.
Surviving are his sister, Glenda Fagg of Sullivan, Indiana; brother, Raymond (Helen) Greening of Michigan City, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; cousin, Paula (Craig) Waltman of Rolling Prairie, Indiana; and special friend, Ann Gardner of Michigan City, Indiana.
Hap was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sue (John) Shelton, Doreen (Roy) Moore and Sally Stroud; and several nieces and nephews.
A 1965 graduate of Elston High School, he swiftly purchased his first home in 1968, a home he still owns! He enjoyed his one and only, lifelong job as an operating engineer with Local 150. In his free time, Hap enjoyed attending antique auctions.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home Home and Cremation Center.
A time of visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
Memorial donations may be made to the donor's choice.
