Lansing

Passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at age 71.  Born April 17, 1946 to Bruce and Georgina (Neff) Stephens in Lansing, Michigan.  Cheryl was known as a sassy woman who enjoyed making people laugh.  She liked shopping and socializing with friends but most of all she loved family and all the time she was able to spend with them.  She will always be remembered for telling her grandchildren "I love you all the way to Jesus."  Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Patricia LaFave; uncle, Douglas Stephens; brother-in-law, James Parish and grandson, Dennis Flint II.

Surviving are her husband, Howard Dexter; children, Tammy Marcusse, Dean (Renee) Smith, Tracy (Greg) Brown, Tricia (Eric) Wieferich, Tonya (Gary) Rader, Teresa (John) Reid, Dennis (Kathy) Flint, Marcia (Dale) Michael; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue Riedel, Judy Parish, Bruce Stephens, Robert (Cheryl) Stephens as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. Family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 2-5 pm at the funeral home.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW National Home for Children, or, Liberty Church of Grand Ledge in Cheryl's name.  To share memories and condolences please visit www.SkinnerFuneralHomes.com
