Debra Gilbert Obituary
Debra Sue Gilbert age 54 died unexpectedly on May 8, 2014 in Eagle. Born to Kenneth (Bud) and Jean Gilbert of Grand Ledge.
Surviving is her loving son, Adam Stanley and daughter-in-law Alaina (Humble) and soon to be grandson, Jack.
She was a 1978 graduate of Grand Ledge High School and a 2012 graduate of the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She was an up and coming artist with so much talent. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Gilbert.
Also surviving is her father Kenneth, sisters, Barbara (Ed) Gillis of Grand Ledge and Nancy (Dick) Cross of Mears; brothers, Steve and James (Doreene) Gilbert of Grand Ledge and special love Bob Harshey of Delta Twp.
A funeral service will be held Friday, May 16, 2014, 2pm at the Holihan-Atkin Funeral Home, Grand Ledge with The Reverend Julie R. Cribley ,officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Memorial contributions may be given to her son Adam for her grandson Jack as she was so excited to be a grandma. So sorry to all of Deb's loved ones. I have known her since kindergarten and though we weren't always "close" we could just start up where we left off when we did see each other. Will miss keeping up with her art projects and her joy in being a Grandma!

Deb will be missed by so many people, she had a heart of gold and was taken way too early. I have alot of great memories of when we were good friends in high school, and I'm thankful we could stay in touch after school too. R.I.P Deb, you were truly a wonderful friend.
