Eric Rogers Obituary

Eric John-Russell Rogers

Charlotte

38, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 25, 2016 in Charlotte. Eric was born November 15, 1977 in Charlotte, the son of William and Sharon (Schone) Rogers. Eric worked very hard his entire life, starting early at the age of 16 when he chose work at Crandell Bros. Trucking over his senior year of basketball. He always loved "playing" with the big equipment, a passion that he developed over 30 years as he built his own successful business, Eric Rogers LLC Lawn & Snow Maintenance Asphalt Paving & Seal Coating.  Even on family vacations in November, Eric's mind would be hard at work.

Eric did find time for hobbies. He was a skilled bowler and, in his early years, participated in tractor pulls. He was very community minded, dedicating much of his time in service to the Eaton Area Senior Center and various other events.

He married Aimee Robles on March 30, 2011 in Ann Arbor. They worked hard together, running the business and raising their daughter, Esa. Eric always took care of Aimee and Esa, looking forward to the end of the day when they could spend time together.

Eric is survived by his wife, Aimee Robles; daughter, Esa; mother, Sharon Rogers; grandmother, Beatrice Schone; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Terralene Deer; sister, Lisa Meesseman; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara (Paul) Templin, Kathlene (Chris) Burt and Laura (Jeff) Buda; and nieces and nephews, Ava and Brenna Meesseman, Nicole, Jessica and Andrew Templin, Layne and Lorelai Burt and Penelope and Owen Buda. He was predeceased by his father, Bill Rogers in 1999 and his grandfather, John Schone.

Funeral services will be at 1 PM on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Pray Funeral with Rev. Phil Hobson officiating. Visitation is from 10 AM - 1 PM on Friday, January 29, 2016 just prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Maple Hill Cemetery, Charlotte. If desired, the family suggests memorial contributions to Eaton Area Senior Center. Friends and family are encouraged to share memories of Eric on his tribute page at

www.prayfuneral.com. The family is in the care of Pray Funeral Home.

So sad to hear of Eric's passing. He was a hard worker who always kept our road clear in the winter. Even thought I didn't know him personally beyond a few business conversations, I remember him as a great person who was running his business the right way. Charlotte lost a good one on Monday. Prayers be with everybody who is mourning this tragedy.
