Lawrence Hettinger Obituary
Lansing - Age 95, passed away November 7, 2017. Lawrence was born February 7, 1922, in Ovid, MI, to the late Floyd and Marion Hettinger. He was a believer in Jesus Christ, faithful husband, and loving father. Lawrence was a member of Colonial Village Baptist Church for over 60 years. He served his country during World War Two as a Merchant Marine. After the war he got married, started a family and was employed at Fisher Body for 34 years. After retiring from Fisher Body he enjoyed his free time flower gardening, crossword puzzles, reading, sport shows and spending time with his wife and family.
Lawrence is survived by his children, Dennis (Diane) Hettinger, Daniel (Kathryn) Hettinger, Brian Hettinger and daughter-in-law Rita Murray; grandchildren, Michelle, Kristen, Angela, Ashley, Jacob, Felicia, Ethan, Michael, Jessica, David, Thomas and Michelle; and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Alyssa, Zachary, Alayna, Madison, Alex, Sarah, Olivia, Owen, Haley and Cameron. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula and a son, Barrett.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at Colonial Village Baptist Church, 2010 Boston Blvd., Lansing, with the Reverend Randy Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hannah's House, Inc., Lansing. Arrangements made by Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.
