Scott Preston Eisensmith

Scott Preston Eisensmith 59, passed away on Aug. 19, 2013 in Haslett, MI. Born in York, Pennsylvania on March 24, 1954, Scott was the third of five children of Preston Harry Eisensmith and Mary Louise (Mays) Eisensmith. He earned a B.S. in Biology from Penn State University in 1976, and a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Michigan State University in 1981. Scott founded and ran his own software company, Scientific Programming Enterprises and had worked at Jackson National Life Insurance Co. as a Security Architect. He was a huge proponent of sustainable energy and had personally made extensive alterations to his home to incorporate solar, geothermal, and wind power technologies. Scott is survived by a son, Michael, a daughter, Melissa, and his ex-wife, Pamela (Power). Private family services were held on August 24, 2013 in Haslett, Michigan.
