Steven Thelen Obituary
Grand Ledge
Steven Scot Thelen of Grand Ledge passed away of a chronic illness November 16, 2015. Steve was born September 7, 1990 in Lansing, Michigan to Steven K. and Beth A. (VanBuren) Thelen. He graduated from Grand Ledge High School Class of 2009 and was a student at Lansing Community College. He enjoyed cooking, taking down trees and doing yard work with his dad; mountain bike riding, campfires, movies and spending time with his two favorite cats, Kool and Nestle. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, wonderful smile and great storytelling.
He is survived by his parents, Steve and Beth; sisters, Rebecca M. (Justin) Childress and Sara L. Thelen; grandmothers, Rosemary Thelen and Barbara VanBuren; numerous Aunts, Uncles and many cousins. He is also survived by his special nephew, Nolan Childress.
Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00pm Saturday, November 21st, at the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Share your memories and condolences online at www.holihanatkin.com

I just happened to see this in the paper today. I have been out-of-state. I am so sorry to hear of Steve's death. Having lost a son myself, my heart breaks for you. I am keeping you all in my prayers. If there is anything I can do, please just let me know.

Steven spent alot of time with my family in his pre teen years. He brought many laughs to our family with his silly personality. My heart breaks for your family.

Steve, I love you with all my heart. I will always remember our conversations and your kind heart and beautiful smile. Grandpa and Grandma Thelen thought the world of you and now you and Grandpa can embrace each other while you wait for Grandma to join you. There is a reason for everything in life, and it is not for us to understand. I do know I have a special angel in heaven. Someday we will all be together, and I can hug you once again.
