Edward Armstrong Obituary
Born November 4, 1929 (Grand Ledge, Michigan), Died January 26, 2026 (Richmond, Virginia). Mike graduated from Grand Ledge High School in 1948 and received his Bachelor degree from Michigan State University in 1958. He served in the US Army, 11th Airborne Division from 1950-1952. He was hand selected to play baseball during his service, travelling the country. Mike was an athlete, excelling in all sports, especially baseball. The son of Ernest Armstrong and Ivy (North) Armstrong, the brother of Gilbert, Pink and Ron. He is survived by his three daughters, Amy Jo, Annie, and Susan Armstrong; three grandchildren: Nicole, Dustin and Gavin, and four great grandchildren: Michael, Maddyn, Jayce and Easton; his two sisters: Marty Shoemaker and Bonnie Davison, and many nieces and nephews.
A private military graveside service will be held. Arrangements by the Holihan-Atkin-Barclay Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Share your memories and condolences online at holihanatkin.com.
