David Beasley Obituary

David Scott Beasley March 27, 1957 - March 31, 2015 WACO-David Scott Beasley of Waco passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at the age of 58. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 7, in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 6, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey in Waco. David was born on March 27, 1957, in Fremont, NE, to John and Ileene Beasley. He was raised in Lubbock, Texas, where he graduated from Monterey High School, before attending Texas Tech University and then Texas State Technical College. He spent his career working in the electronics field, and he never met a device he couldn't fix. David enjoyed playing his guitar, as he was a life-long lover of music, and loved reminiscing about old friends and growing up in West Texas. Those who knew him know that he always had an odd story to share. He was a loving husband, father, and friend, and he and his unique sense of humor will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, John; and sister, Diane. He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughter, Paige of Waco; mother, Ileene; brother, Steve Beasley and wife, Phyllis, of Lubbock; and numerous nieces and nephews. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in our Memorial Guestbook at www.WHBfamily.com.

It was fun growing up across the street from you, David, and was even better when we were related for a time. I will cherish the memories of you and Gary playing cowboys and Indians, with me as the Indian who always got shot. Those were the days! Rest in peace, my friend.
