LeAnn Bishop Obituary

LeAnn Bishop LeAnn (Evans) Bishop, age 47, of Floydada passed away Friday, June 3, 2011 in Lubbock after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Franks officiating. Interment will follow at Floyd County Memorial Park under the direction of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Floydada. LeAnn Evans was born April 4, 1964 to Ronald and Alyne (Reeves) Evans at People's Hospital in Floydada. LeAnn married Gregory Brown Bishop on September 13, 1997. LeAnn was a devoted wife to Greg and a loving mother to her daughter, Sydney. She was a member of First Baptist Church. LeAnn graduated from Floydada High School in 1982 and from West Texas State University in 1986 with a degree in education and taught for 11 years prior to returning to Floydada to raise her family. Despite many years of illness she gave her all and was a precious wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend and will be missed more than words can ever express. LeAnn is survived by her husband of over thirteen years, Greg Bishop of Floydada; her daughter, Sydney Bishop of Floydada; her parents, Alyne and Ronald Evans of Floydada; her brothers, Ray and wife, Denise, and Joel and wife, Ann; her mother-in-law, Nancy Lawson and husband, Gene; and her brother-in-law, Mike Bishop and wife, Rozanne; brother-in-law, Rex Lawson and wife, Karen. LeAnn was preceded in death by her twin babies, Evan and Erin Bishop in January of 2000. Memorial donations may be made in LeAnn Bishop's name to Plainview Christian Academy, 310 Ennis St., Plainview, Texas, 79072. Online condolences may be made at www.moore-rose.com.
