Roberta Day Obituary

Roberta Vada Day MEADOW-Graveside services for Roberta Vada Day, 78, of Meadow will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Bob Reynolds officiating and Bo Shero assisting. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Brownfield Funeral Home. Roberta was born Nov. 24, 1936, to Robert and Ellen May Alexander in Hockley County. She graduated from high school in Sundown. Roberta married Dan Day on Dec. 27, 1953, in Sundown. She was a loving mother, homemaker, and farmer's wife. She was a member of Brownfield Church of Christ, D.A.R. and D.R.T. Roberta is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Day and her parents. Roberta is survived by her four children, Cacy Day Sr. of Seminole, Carolyn Viosca of Tyler, Dan Buster Day Jr. of Meadow, Ross Day of Meadow; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beth White of Indiana and Nina Moates of Arlington. In Lieu of flowers to The Children's Home of Lubbock, New Mexico Christian Children's Home or to your favorite charity.

I will always cherish the time I got to spend with Dan and Roberta. Both are role models for aging with grace. I'll be praying for the family.
