Ubaldo Santos Criado

Ubaldo Santos Criado LUBBOCK- Ubaldo Santos Criado, 85, of Lubbock, Texas, passed away on March 18th, 2015, after a prolonged illness. He was born Feb. 3, 1930, to Felipe and Dolores Criado in Poteet, Texas. He married the love of his life, Lucinda Rivera, in 1952 and raised five children. Ubaldo worked in the steel mill industry for many years in Detroit, Michigan before moving to Lubbock in 1960, where he became a licensed master plumber and pipe fitter for over 25 years with Brady Plumbing. After medically retiring, he became a licensed barber and worked at Graduate's Barber Shop for many years thereafter. Ubaldo was also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He will be remembered as a dedicated husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Those left to cherish his memory are: his children Dolores Ramirez, Rosemary Traba, Deborah Padilla, Jacob Criado and Louis Rivera, Sr. (all from Lubbock); ten grandchildren: Eliseo Baldo Padilla, Jr., Felicia Renee Ramirez, Justin Gabriel Ramirez, Gabriella Padilla, Cameron Criado, Sidney Flores, Luke Criado, Louis Rivera, Jr., Angie Briones and Deborah Rose Rivera; three great-grandchildren: Zahryan and Arilynn Vela and Eliseo Padilla, III; four brothers: Reynaldo, Jose, Felipe Jr. and Roberto Criado; and four sisters: Juana, Corina, Irma and Linda. Rosary services will be held at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial in Lubbock beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 22nd, 2015, followed by a time of fellowship and remembrance. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2015, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1120 52nd St., with Msgr. James O'Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Gardens Cemetery in Woodrow, Texas.
