I can’t believe how long it has been! Every year at about 1155 on my birthday I remember the one year we counted down to your birthday. Only one day a part. You always knew how to make me smile. Like on our first date. I think we were both so nerves. I would have never guessed how much of an impact you would have on my life. I miss you very much! So many memories we had! Feels like only yesterday, but it was long ago. I just hope wherever you are you’re looking down on all of us. I just wish I had more time with you. I love you.

This past weekend was the Jewelers For Children Facets of Hope dinner at the Mandalay Bay. For about ten years Chris and my son Tyler worked together to help prepare for the dinner and do their part to help the kids. It was at this dinner two years ago that I hugged Chris for the last time. I can still feel that hug and see his smiling face. It is my last precious memory of Chris.

god i miss you so much. im listenting to theory of a deadman and it brings back such a rush of memories and tears. there hasnt been a day since you left that i dont think of you in one way or another. funny how my mom set us up all those years ago. and then i joined the navy. but we always talked. you were always there for me and you still are. i just wish i could have been there for you. you took care of me when i was sick in the hospital with some unknown illness and always brought me a strawberry slushie. you always made the time for me even after a long day at work to drive out to the other side of town. and then when i got into my car crash you drove over two hours to bakersfield to make sure i was ok and wait with me until my grandparents picked me up. i can never thank you enough for everything you have done for me.

Since meeting Chris at work, I developed a soft spot for him in my heart. My three daughters are very close in age to Chris, and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations--and as a typical mother would, tried to listen to him and offer "constructive" advice when he seemed to be seeking it.
He made me smile. Chris was a hard worker, and a professional in his trade, especially for someone so young. He seemed to have empathy for others, and a desire to help them, when he stood to gain nothing. It was out of the goodness of his heart, which was big and needed filling.
I am still seeking closure for the tragedy of his passing, and regret that I could not attend his memorial service due to illness. My heart goes out to you, Mr. and Mrs. DeAngelis. I know what it is to lose a child, and it is truly the most painful experience imaginable. Had he lived, my own son would be 32 years old in August.
As Chris's parents, you have my heartfelt sympathy. I have never met you, but Chris spoke of you to me and his love and devotion to you were obvious. God bless you both, and I pray that you will find some comfort in reading the loving messages that so many have conveyed.

I knew Chris through my son Tyler for many years. Chris was Tyler's best friend. Though I have had minimal face to face interaction with Chris, I've had several phone conversations with him. Chris was always warm and fun to talk to. One thing always shined through, Chris and Tyler have always been loyal and dedicated friends to each other. Tyler spoke of many experiences he shared with Chris. It's very clear that Chris was always willing to give to others. I'm very thankful for his true and trusted friendship to my son, and lately to Angela as well. My heart breaks for Chris' family, friends and for Tyler. We are all better people because of the imprint Chris left on our lives.

Chris was my best friend since as far as I can remember. My very first memory of Chris was when I was around seven years old. We moved onto the same street together, a new block, neither of us knowing this would be the beginning of a brotherhood. One that would help shape the rest of my life. We were a package deal; one came with the other. Our lives have been infused with each other since childhood. Most everything I did Chris was there right beside me. If you knew Chris you know how incredibly humorous he was, and that he would never allow for a dull moment. If you invited Chris anywhere, it's because you knew his witty humor and amazing over-the-top gestures were going to help make the night. That is…when he showed up on time, which was very rare. Chris was his own person, with a truly one of a kind personality. I will always strive to be like him in many ways. One way would be his willingness to do anything for someone else. Chris has been there for me countless times, with no expectations for anything in return. Chris had many qualities, but selfless is certainly one of the best ways to describe him. Secondly, Chris had the ability to light up any room with his incredibly social and funny personality. I truly believe Chris would want us to remember the good and not mourn this accident, but celebrate his wonderful life and the funny moments he has plastered in our minds forever. Let us all be more like Chris and look after one another and live our lives to the max, never allowing for a dull moment. I'll miss you my friend, FOREVER! Love Tyler.

You were that person that would help anyone out and always try to be there for others without expecting anything back. Especially for those you loved and were very close to. I always thought Tyler was so lucky to have such a great friend that would literally do anything and everything for him. You're the best friend a person could ever hope for. Thank you for all the amazing memories Ive shared with you these past few years and for confiding in me and allowing me to confide in you when I needed it. When I thought of my future I always imagined you in it along side Tyler. A package deal. It's going to be hard without you. I cry everytime i think about you. I'll miss you so much. But you will never be forgotten and you'll continue to live on in the hearts of many. I promise to try my best to take care of Tyler and his family and do whatever I can for your parents. I love you so much Chris.... Rest in Peace my dear friend... You are greatly missed <3
