Thank you for all the warm heart felt messages. My dad loved you all. It has been awhile but seems like yesterday that he has passed on the Heaven. I miss him dearly mostly through difficult times i have had in my life since he has passed. I will never forget my father and who he was. I will never forget what he taught me and the special things he has done for people. This year has been a difficult time for me but he helped me get through them. I love you dad forever and will never never be missed.
Love Always, Your Proud Son, Gino

I was a young singer and Izzy was my hairdresser in the 60s in Vegas. Very sweet man who introduced me to Totie Fields and Ed Begley Sr. In the 60s and I used to hang out at Caesar's Palace. One of his great gorgeous hairdressers, Linda was my next door neighbor. She modeled and had a stunning face. So sorry you are gone Izzy. RIP.

Although I have never met you, I came across the notice that you had passed away. You knew my Grandmother, Loucile Alexander (Davids mother). She often spoke of you and how wonderful you were to her while she was here on earth. Perhaps in heaven you will meet again and enjoy each others company again. I loved my Grandmother with all my heart and so it is with great gratitude sir, I thank you for your kindness toward her. May God bless you, your family and especially my Uncle David and Aunt Josephine (your sister).

When I am gone, release me let me go
I have so many things to see and do
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had so many years
I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness
I thank you for the love you have shown
But now it’s time I traveled alone
So grieve a while for me if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust
It’s only for a while that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart
I won’t be far away. For life goes on
So if you need me call and I will come
Though you can’t see or touch me I’ll be there
And if you listen with your heart you’ll hear
All of my love around you soft and clear
And then when you must come this way alone
I’ll greet you with a smile and welcome you home ~ (Author unknown)
Dite ciao a mio nonno. Ci vediamo in cielo. Ti voglio tantissimo bene.

Gina and Gino, my heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences to both of you and your families. I have such wonderful memories of the times my family would come to Sunday dinner - Italian style. I will never forget Izzy's salad - so simple yet scrumptious. Over the years I have seen Izzy out and about at social functions but it has been a very long time since I have seen either one of you but I think of you often and the fun times we had when we were all young. No words can express the sorrow I feel in my heart for your loss, Izzy was a great person and he will be missed.
Izzy - thank you for all the wonderful memories. I have and always will treasure them. You always brought a smile to my face with your exuberant hello's! You will be missed!!

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dear Izzy,
What can I say. You always treated my family with respect. I remember one of your many family outings over at the St. Viator community center when you had all of your family there and then invited mine. Easy to tell, we werre the Irish bunch, but felt like we were part of your family forever. I went through my high school years with Gino and had a great admiration for your strength, determination, and fortitude to stand up for what was right. You gave of yourself without limits which inspired many around and after you to do the same. Could it get any better....pasta at Izzy's house, or Legion baseball in the early years. Farmers Market, DOMAVILLA what memories fo me being your Athletic Trainer. Izzy may you find rest, and renewed life in heaven. To Gino: I am and always shall be your friend.
Your humble friend,
Patrick Ballinger.

I know it must feel like a fire that has let loose in your veins
Along with a new kind of feeling a new definition of pain
Wanting to fall to the ground replays in your mind
You never saw it coming but I presume it was time
A loved one A blessing to you all
You question God's work asking how could you let this be
What did we do wrong to make this come to past
Now you must live each moment as your last
There is a feeling in your chest thinking that it is your last breath
What is there for me What is there left
Only one word can keep your family living
It's the one thing most dear to you all ~ it is called family
And that is what will let you all begin to breathe

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Gino and Gina,
We just moved back to LV and talked about your father each time we passed a memory here in the city. So many memories from the days I ran St. Viator's community center in the 70's. Your father took me and Benton in during the holidays and that was very special to us at that time in our lives. I could tell a lot of great stories and nothing negative of our relationship. Comps, haircuts and more comps. Take care.
