Arlon R.Sibert
September 1, 2020
My name is Arlon Sibert I am from Mason City Ia. I came to Las Vegas in 1963. We always enjoyed listening to Jim and the band when they were at the Gold Coast. When any of my classmates or friends would come to Las Vegas we would make it a point to go listen to the band. Jim's father "Fitz" was my band instructor at Monroe Jr. High for the three years I was there. I played the Drums. I remember Jim playing in the parades and the North Iowa Band Festival and he would sometimes have his pet squirrel on his shoulder. Fond memories of those days in Mason City.
