JOHN JERDAN

JOHN JERDAN John "Jack" Jerdan, 85, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013. He was born July 2, 1927, in Camden, N.J., and was a 31-year resident of Nevada. Jack served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a retired automobile salesman. He was a member of General MacArthur's Honor Guard. He was a past Grand Knight of Columbus at St. Viator's parish and a Fourth Degree Knight. His hobby was the stock market and he was an avid sports fan, especially the New York Yankees. He always quoted Shakespeare. "He was the best partner anyone could ask for, very loving, kind, sincere, friendly and a "fun" person. A very happy husband and we had 40 precious years together. His death was very sudden and shocking." Jack is survived by his wife, AnnMarie Jerdan; son, Frank Santianna of Henderson; daughters, Ellen (Louis) Solomon of Baldwin, N.Y., and Jane (George) Basanda of Palm Desert, Calif.; and two grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 11, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Jack will be missed by all of the people who had the privilege of having known him. Jack was the "happiest man alive." His memory will live in our hearts forever.
