JULE CAROLLO Obituary

JULE CAROLLO Jule "Julia" Adele Hampson McDonald Carollo, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 27, 2014, at the age of 81. She was born in Togo, Saskatchewan, Canada, the second of six children, Stirk, Wins, Evolda, Ted, and Lorna Jean. Raising her family alone, Adele moved her children, to a small hockey town name Flin Flon, Manitoba. Jule met and married her first love of 25 years, Buddy Alexander Grimmon. They soon moved to sunny California, where Jule was a stay-at-home mom, with son, Kim Alexander, Robyn Marie and Christopher Kelly. It was 1968 when her family became a permanent part of the Las Vegas valley. Never one to be idle, she applied to a small local spot as a waitress, and for the next 15 years was an asset to the growing Village Pub (Ellis Island) business, loved and admired by everyone. Married to Jim Carollo in 1977, she set out to follow her dreams. Learning to snow ski at the age of 40, she was able to ski around the globe. At 45 years, her heart told her to "Go For It," when she signed up for tap lessons, with a group of 12 women, taught by a woman named, Peggy Ryan. The TNT dancers tapped their hearts out for the next 15 years with a show every year for family and friends, entertaining for charities and local events. Jule's family always came first. Grandmother of nine and great-grandmother to eight, her loyalty, integrity, respect, responsibility, determination and her ability to love unconditionally is the foundation that will hold her family together for many generations to come. "Never give up on your dream, your never to old to achieve it," was her favorite motto. Her smile and laughter will always shine on in our hearts. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at Independence Hall at the Anthems, 2460 Hampton Road, Henderson.

RIP Jule, I know your tapping on the clouds above us and smiling all the way as you hum your favorite musical tunes. You made all of us smile with the way you always were practicing your tap moves in soft count. You will be missed Jule, Love You. My Prayers go to everyone who knew her. I use to work at Village Pub with Jule from 1973 to 1976 when it was a high class lunch and supper club. Jule and Kathy worked the front room and Shannon and I worked the back room during the high volume lunch shift, with Yorky as our manager. What a team we made. Jule was a delight to work with and was very helpful with me when I first started there. She was so little and cute and fun to work around. I'll never forget her. I wish I would have kept in touch with her all these years just because I'm sure it would have been interesting to get to know her family and all. May she rest in peace and be in God's loving presence. Rita McKay
