Sandy (Rowe) England
July 20, 2018
Dear Martha's Family & Friends, I am Sandy (Rowe) Shepard-England, her 2nd cousin if I have my family facts right. Martha's Dad was my Mother Polly (Mode) Rowe's first cousin. I only recently learned of Martha's passing. Relatives in Coolidge phoned us in Camp Verde and told us of her obituary in the Coolidge Examiner (where Martha was born). The news saddened me and made me wish I had kept in closer contact with her. We did try to exchange Christmas cards each year....and every so often she would write me pages and pages of her family's news....I loved it!! She was a special lady, and reading about her life makes me realize she was more special than I knew. My love and sympathy goes out to her family and I am sorry I am so late knowing this news. I will mail something to the last address I have for her, and hope it is still valid. God bless all of you :) Sandy

I am deeply sorry that Martha passed away. We have been friends since first grade at St. Patrick's Catholic School in Bisbee, AZ. We were classmates at Bisbee High School frequently being in the same classes. We did the usual fun things i.e. going to football games, double-dating, playing tennis. We had some good fun times with Agnes and Jo Ann and Mary Key. Martha went to ASU. I went to nursing school. We were bridesmaids in each others weddings. We traveled different life paths with our husbands and children, but our friendship continued even though communication was intermittent when we had personal family distractions. Martha, now you are with the angels resting in peace you deserve. God bless you my friend, Pat (O'Leary) Kelly
