Neitha McGhie Obituary

NEITHA MCGHIE Neitha Rose McGhie, 47, went to be with our Lord June 15, 2007. Neitha was born in Las Vegas Feb. 3, 1960, and resided in Las Vegas and Henderson her entire life. After high school, she worked as a manicurist, modeled for numerous agencies, taught modeling, and worked in trade show marketing. She later earned her cosmetology license, and taught aerobics classes for the city of Henderson. Of all the things Neitha did, the single most important to her was giving birth to, and raising her three daughters. She loved the outdoors, especially the water. She loved spending time at the lake with her daughters and her sister, and loved spending time at the family cabin at Navajo Lake. Neitha loved children and animals, and had a veritable zoo at her home while her children were growing up. If she wasn't helping a child, she was trying to save an animal. She loved country music, and was very proud of her Greek heritage. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her, especially her children and family. Neitha was preceded in death by her parents, June and Nick Lathuris; and her sister, Barbara Snyder. She is survived by her daughters, Gabby, Aubi, and Ali Rose McGhie; her sister and brother-in-law, Leigh Ann and Bob Borchik; stepmother, Lasca Lathuris; brother-in-law, Jay Snyder; her ex-husband, Mark McGhie; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be held to honor her life at 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, at Central Christian Church, 1001 New Beginnings Drive, Room 205, Henderson, NV 89011.
