5th Anniversary Memorial
In loving memory of
Richard W. "Dick" Roberts
Jan. 10, 1929-Jan. 17, 2012

Dick was born in DeKalb, IL to Lloyd and Anna (nee Robertson) Roberts. He is survived by one sister, JoAnn Tessicinni of Chicago Heights, IL. After graduating from DeKalb Township High School, he earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT).
In 1950, he married Marianne (nee Devine) who survives him. He also entered the U.S. Army in 1950, serving at Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Denver, CO for two years. Throughout his career, Dick was in management in various capacities at several companies ending as VP of Manufacturing at Guth and MWC Lighting before retiring to Las Vegas NV in 1990 with his wife Marianne.
The couple was blessed with over 61 years together and five children, Sharon Keller, Barbara Roberts-Edwards (KG), Jeffrey (Laurie), Gail, who at age five, preceded him in death, and Jim (Sandy). He was grandfather to six grandchildren and 2 great grandsons.
Dick was instrumental in organizing and implementing social and early educational opportunities for Special Needs Children in the Oconomowoc WI area in the late 1960's.
Dick was laid to rest in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery and has been truly missed these past five years.
