Mrs. Sucaet was the single best teacher and role model I was blessed to learn from. I gratefully carried her spirit with me into the classroom every day for 25 years. Though I certainly lacked her grace and style, I never lost sight of her teachings; every student is valuable, respect for self and others is mandatory, music heals and inspires, language matters, and our spirits are SO much bigger than our circumstances. She embodied her beliefs and in so doing, showed each of us how to live a wholehearted and full life rooted in love, compassion, and faith. May it afford her family deep comfort to know that her beautiful legacy continues to burn brightly in the hearts and lives of all who were blessed to know her.

I was one of the many, many students who were truly blessed to be taught by Mrs. Sucaet at St. Clement. Her passion for teaching was obvious...she had a kind, yet firm way about her that brought out the best in us. Many times over the years, during gatherings with fellow classmates, the subject of teachers would come up, and always, ALWAYS, someone would say, "Remember Mrs. Sucaet? She was my favorite teacher." To this day I have never forgotten what she wrote in my 8th grade yearbook: "Love many, trust few, always paddle your own canoe." RIP Mrs.Sucaet

Mrs. Sucaet was by far, one of my favorite teachers at St Clement. She not only taught us the basics, but my best memories were discussing current events. I even recall watching the Apollo launch during class on the black & white tv on that tall rickety cart.
She taught me that disabilities are only challenges and that we are each special in our own way. I really appreciated her sense of kindness as well as her firm sense of rule. Her class was strict, but fun and she showed respect to each student.
Mrs. Sucaet definitely made a difference in my life. I will always be thankful for being a student under her watchful eye.

Joyce was married to my cousin, Joe. She was a gracious and a very sweet, dear lady. Incidentally, she sang at my wedding fifty-eight years ago. Her children were blessed to have her as a mom.
Rest in peace and continue to sing with the angels. Irene Rintz Talbot

Joyce was an amazing woman! Strong, passionate, loving, caring, and much more. Words can't explain the relationship we had. She will be truly missed.....
