Macon, Georgia - Edward Otha Mosely, 80, of Macon, Georgia, passed away in Dublin, Georgia, on Thursday, November 23, 2023. He was born in Macon, Georgia, in 1943, to the Late Lena Wilson Mosely Thomas and the Late Andrew Brown Mosely.
Edward attended Willingham High School, served in Vietnam as a United States Marine, and worked as an ironworker during the building of the Alaska pipeline and Plant Scherer locally. He also owned his own business, Southern Tire.
He is survived by his brother, Gary Thomas (Angel); his sister, Marlena Brock; his longtime companion, Evelyn Baker, and her sons, James and Ronald Baker; his nephew, Daniel Brock (Deb); and his niece, Lena Grace. He is preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Lester Thomas; and his brother, Ronald Lester Thomas.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 12:00 PM, at Avondale Baptist Church, 6970 Cochran Field Road, Macon, Georgia. The family will greet friends for a time of visitation one hour prior to service. Burial will be in the church cemetery after the service.
