J. C. Durden -WARNER ROBINS - Mr. J. C. Durden, 96, passed away on Saturday, March 31st, 2012 at Pine Pointe Hospice of Central Georgia. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 6th, 2012 in the Chapel at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with Dr. G. Wayne Dorsett officiating. Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2: 00 P. M. on Friday, April 6th, 2012. -Mr. Durden was born in Putnam County, Georgia. He was the son of the late William Henry and Henrietta (Reese) Durden. He was also preceded in death by his wife of seventy-three years Dorsey Mae (Cox) Durden, a son, Robert Durden and eighteen siblings. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Mr. Durden worked at Macon Textile plant until it closed in 1962 and he retired from Alderman Foods "Big Apple" where he was the produce manager. -Survivors include his son and his wife, William "Billy" & Mary Lee Durden of Macon, Daughter-in-law, Nancy Durden of Lakeview, SC, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. -In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pine Point Hospice of Central Georgia, 6261 Peake Road., Macon, GA 31210. -Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
