Jeanetta Jones Daniel, age 60, of Smyrna, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held at a later date. Born in Plainview, TX, and a native of Macon, GA, she graduated from Stratford Academy, and attended Wayland College. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in JRL from the University of Georgia, and was a reporter at WMAZ in Macon upon graduating. She had been employed by The Weather Channel as an on air meteorologist from 1986-2006. Mrs. Daniel was active in helping her late father operate his ministry, Find Bible Truth, in recent years. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Tommy Jones. Surviving are her husband, Lenny Daniel; daughter, Rebecca Daniel of Smyrna; mother, Barbara Jones of Macon; brother, Jeffrey Jones of Henderson, NC; sister, Jerilyn Leverett of Macon. This is truly sad I was shocked to find out after looking for weather related info. While flying out of NC with the AF in the late 80's, I'd tune into TWC and watch Jeanetta for the day's forecast. My most sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Dear Barbara and Family,
We have just learned of the death of Jeanetta. Please know that our sympathy and sincere condolences are extended to you, her beloved family. Johnnie and I have moved in recent years to Cashiers, NC, but our memories of your family in Macon at Vineville Baptist will live forever in our hearts. We love you, and our hearts mourn your loss, but we know that she is now with her dad, and that is a cause for rejoicing! We watched her often on the weather channel. What a beautiful woman she was--like you Barbara! May God continue to bless all of you, and may He bring you peace and rest, knowing that she is now in His everlasting arms, alongside her dad. Love

Oh my, so sorry for your loss. I remember seeing this pretty girl in the Kroger store on Riverside Dr Macon GA many years ago. I remember seeing her on The Weather Channel and thinking that I knew a celebrity.
