INVERNESS, FL- Jo Nell McElmurray, 82, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in
Mrs. McElmurray was born in Hazelhurst to the late William H. and Lola Inell Jones Bennett. She was a graduate of Georgia Business College in Macon, was a member of the American Dairy Goat Association, and was a member of the Camellia Society. She moved to Florida 12 years ago from Kathleen. Mrs. McElmurray was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph McElmurray, Jr.; and her siblings, James Bennett, Marion Bennett, Frances Swain, Eva White, A.J. Bennett, and Hearn Bennett.
Survivors include her children, Gregory Allen Davis (Pam) of Perry, and Grace Kathleen Davis (Frank Ranallo) of Inverness, FL; her sister, Beth Bennett of Lithia, FL; her grandchildren, Allen Davis, Kimberly James, Tommy Davis, and Clay Ranallo; her great-grandchildren, Case Marks, Mackayla Davis, and Legend James; and many nieces and nephews.

Greg, Charlie and families, I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. Growing up across the street from all of you is a big part of my childhood memories and I have thought of you sooooo many times over the years.....hoping you were doing good. What a sweet sweet person Jo Nell was. I did have the nice opportunity to see her AND Charlie in Perry at a restaurant years ago. We talked and had a fun time catching up. Our family sends love to all of you at this sad time and many prayers now and always.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Jo Nell's passing. I have such sweet memories of her & Mr. Joe during my many trips to their home with my sweet Daddy as a child. I remember the trips to the barn to see her many goats & pick out a kitten one day as I got older. Mrs. Jo Nell was a sweet, dear woman & friend to our family. I pray for her family in the following days as they grieve her passing. Love & Hugs to all.
