I just wanted to let you know how much I will miss Joe. I have known him for about 20 years and he has always been one of my best friends and someone I could go to at any time. We know he is in a better place and we will see him again. I really want you to let me know if you need anything at any time. I love all of you as I loved Brother Joe.

Dear Davis Family:

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. I know Brother Joe will be missed. I can remember what a blessing he was when we lived in Milledgeville and how he seemed to always had such a good, caring spirit about him. Remember that the Lord is with you. We will pray for you and your family.

Dear Davis Family,

I worked with Brother Joe in Bldg 301 for about three years prior to him moving to XP Directorate. Joe, was a wonderful person to know and work with and you knew he was a Christian first and foremost, then a friend/co-worker. I pray God will Bless you all during this time of grief.

God Bless You All!

Dear Debbie and kids,

I worked with Joe when he first came on base. He was such a nice man and had such a happy personality. Although we moved in 1991, I remember him talking about you making resurrection cookies for the kids at Easter. I remember also eating the forgotten cookies at one of our socials--they were yummy! After reading the messages it is obvious that he touched many lives. I am so sorry for your loss. God bless you and all his family and friends.

Sincerely,

Diane Greene

What a tragic loss to us that had a chance to work with Joe. He had the biggest heart and his smile and laugh were contagious.

I can remember him coming to visit with me at one of the lowest times of my career. As he held my hand, he reminded me of my self worth and how much we all contribute both at work and at home. He accepted everyone for what they were without harsh judgement.

May God Bless You Joe. I'm sure he has bigger plans for you and you would have agreed had you known ahead of time. That was how strong your faith was.

Debbie, Starla, and Josh,

Words seem so inadequate, but I want to try to express to you how very much Joe was loved and respected by those of us who worked with him in "XPD". We worked, laughed, cried, and prayed together, and in the process, grew to be close brothers and sisters in Christ, and we loved and cared about you just as much as if you were right there with us every day (and still do). Many of us continued to stay in touch with Joe, sharing life's trials and joys. Joe was a great man and I am the better for having known him. He truly made a difference in the world for Christ, and he loved you so very, very much. Please know that I here for you if there is anything at all that I can do.

Dear Mrs. Davis and family,

I had the priviledge of working with your husband Joe. He was my boss for a short while. I must say that he was very committed not only to the mission that he was called upon to do, but he was also committed to his people. I will never forget how Joe and the entire organization helped me. I am so glad that God allowed ours paths to cross. I am truly going to miss him, but as we all know God has a greater plan. May God continue to bless you and your family.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

To Joe's Dear Family,

Joe was one of the most special people I have ever known. His gentle spirituality was offered to and enveloped everyone he knew.

I am saddened by the loss of my friend, yet I can rejoice in his homegoing.

I was blessed to know Joe for the past three years and considered him a very close friend and brother. My heart aches for the family at his passing and I want you to know that I love you and will do anything I can to help. My cell phone is 478-718-4026; office is WR-ALC/XRCB 926-7267. Joe and I worked in XP together and formed a very close love one for another. When my son was going through a difficult time a year or so ago, Joe came into my office and prayed with me, cried with me, and helped love me through it. I will never forget him and pray that I can be half the man he was. I know without a doubt he is in the presence of the King and thus I will see my good friend again. In the mean time, those of us left here on earth will greatly miss his presence. Joe left a legacy of honor and decency that is all to often lacking in our present age. You can be proud of him and the life he lived. I pray the God of all comfort will comfort your hearts at the passing of this very special man. Numbers 6:24-26

Joe and I went to work at the base at about the same time and were in the same organization at the beginning. I'd enjoyed seeing him around since then; we've worked across the hall from each other for the past couple of years and got to visit frequently. His attention to detail and devotion to duty were exemplary--he was a good friend, and I'll miss him. I'm very sorry, and you have my sympathy.
