Margaret Ann Fitzpatrick Bowen

Newnan, Georgia - Margaret Ann Fitzpatrick Bowen, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 10, 2023. She was born on Thursday, August 10, 1933, in Roanoke, Virginia, daughter of the late Richard Herbert and Nannie Kate Fitzpatrick.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Shephard of Newnan, GA; son, Richard Bowen (Angie) of Douglasville, GA; and daughter, Sherry Lancaster (Paul) of The Woodlands, TX; grandchildren, Jennifer Goss (Greg); Kristin Cook (Brian); Morgan Nihart (Ben); Hope Bowen; Hudson Bowen; Leslie Coxon (Chris) and Paul Lancaster (Staci); 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters Naomi Snead, Carolyn (Willie) Weaver, Diane Leach and Sharon (David) Shank and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a wonderful homemaker and spent her life devoted to her children and family. She was an amazing cook and everyone loved eating the delicious meals she prepared. She is remembered by all who knew her as a very caring and generous person.

Margaret accepted Jesus into her heart at a young age and was baptized at that time. She was a longstanding member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and then Vineville Baptist Church in Macon, GA. She is currently a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church in Newnan, GA. She loved attending Sunday School and was very faithful. She dearly loved the Lord, her family, and her church.

Funeral services will be held at Hart's at the Cupola, on Tuesday, November 14th. The family will receive visitors at 1pm and the service will immediately follow at 2pm. Burial will follow the service at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Heatherwood Baptist Church or Liberty Baptist Church, Winston, GA.
