Tifton, Georgia - Michael Roswell Bennett, 65, of Tifton, GA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center. A private family funeral service and burial will be held for Mr. Bennett at a later date.
Born April 5, 1956 in Macon, GA, Mr. Bennett was the son of the late Worthy R. Bennett and Mary Berry Bennett. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Bennett. Before retiring, he worked at Graphic Packaging in Macon for 32 years. He loved spending time with his grandson and enjoyed fishing and playing golf.
Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharon Johstono Bennett of Tifton, GA; two daughters and one son-in-law; Lindsay and Daron Carter and Alexis Bennett, all of Tifton, GA; one sister, Sharon Bennett Bell of Byron, GA; his grandson, Casen Carter; two brothers-in-law; Don Johstono and Mike Johstono and his wife, Crystal, all of Macon, GA; and two sisters-in-law; Melissa Grater and her husband, Tim of Knoxville, TN and Cathy Stewart and her husband, Steve of Macon, GA.

I worked in the same area as Mike and I have worked alongside of his dad W.R. at Graphic Packaging. Mike was a great guy and I am saddened to hear of his passing. I know he will be missed. My heart goes out to his family.
