October 20, 1934 - April 10, 2022
Macon, Georgia -
Richard Cook went to be with his Lord. He grew up in Texas Valley near Rome Georgia. Richard married his sweetheart, Louie Mae Yarbrough in 1956. Richard served for 26 years as a Sergeant in the Macon Police Department from November 1,1961 until November 6, 1987.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Louie Mae; his parents, George and Lillie Mae Jesonis; brothers; Bill, Ralph, Bobby and James. Surviving family is two children; Mark Cook and wife, Anne and Karen Taylor and husband, Larry; as well as grandchildren; Callie Hogan and Kristen Dicarlo. There are numerous nieces and nephews.

My deepest sympathy to the Cook Family. Sgt. Cook was my supervisor at Precinct 1. He was always respectful while being in command. Rest in Peace Sergeant!
